Noteringar - In loving memory of Leroy Arthur Ginn. Leroy Ginn was born on August 28, 1935 on the family farm in Lowville Township, Murray County, Minnesota to Harold and Linda Gudmundsson Ginn. He grew up on the family farm and attended District # 72 Country School and graduated from Lake Wilson High School in 1953. Following high school Leroy farmed with his father. He was a member of the Pipestone National Guard from 1953 to 1962. In 1967 Leroy moved to Baton Rouge, LA and worked for Allied Chemical Company. In October 1971 he moved to Morris, IL and worked at Northern Petro Chemical. In 1987 Leroy returned to the family farm near Lake Wilson to care for his mother, Linda. In March 2009 Leroy became a resident of the Golden Living Center-Slayton and passed away there on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the age of 74. He attended the United Methodist Church in Lake Wilson, MN. Leroy enjoyed driving around the countryside, going to farm sales, fishing, bow hunting and watching sports. Survivors include one sister, Loretta Erickson of Lake Wilson, MN, and one brother, Chester Ginn and his wife, Idalia of Slayton, MN and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, one infantbrother, Donald Ginn, one sister, Phyllis Pickering and her husband, John, and one brother-in-law, Earl Erickson. Memorial Services Totzke Funeral Home in Slayton, MN on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jon Marburger officiating. Interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Lake Wilson, MN.Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the Totzke Funeral Home on Monday.
